Breaking News

GrassrootsPA reports CNN Inside Politics is covering Sherwood. It will also cover GrassrootsPA's coverage of the Mr. Sherwood's adultery and may mention this humble blog.
I also received an email from a CNN producer asking me to share information about myself I responded
"I am a Concerned Republican Activists in Northeast PA. I do not want to reveal myself to ruin my good ties with other Solid Republican leaders supporting the Congressman, Who I admired until recently. I believed President Clinton should have resigned, and I believe the same thing about Congressman Sherwood. Finally if the Congressman does not resign I would like to support a true family values Candidate in the 2006 primary."

Well, well, what a pickle he finds himself in. I lost all respect for him when he bused people into Montgomery County from Lackawanna to work the polls for Brown in the 13th race. Gee, who paid those people and why did it never show up on any financial filings? Butt out of our business in Montco, and worry about your own problems!

Hummmmmmmmmmm

You were also on CNN's 'Inside the Blogs'. I have posted the video of your CNN appearance over at my blog.

Congrats.

So, let's sum up your blog so far: You have received exactly two messages, even after being mentioned on CNN. One of these was from a disgruntled Ellen Bard supporter. Your emailed response to CNN is the best reason for Hooked On Phonics I have yet to see.

And to top it all off, you are too much of a coward to identify yourself. Maybe you are a Republican, but more likely you are Kurt Shotko or Veronica Hannevig, the most recent two nuts to take Sherwood on and fail miserably.

If you think you are a better alternative than Sherwood, put your name on the ballot (unless you already have). Otherwise, the district would be better served with you not adding to the pain his family already feels.

Well let's see: Mr./Ms. "anonymous" is taking "DumpSherwood" to task for not revealing his/her identity. That's a riot! Well, "anonymous", it seems your stance is somewhat compromised by your own hypocricy. Who the heck are YOU!?

I know that politicians like to get the names of their critics so they can start attacking them ad hominem, rather than responding to the criticism itself. It's always easier when confronted with uncomfortable truths to attack the messenger.

How about it, "anonymous"? Has Mr. Sherwood demonstrated the character traits YOU would demand in a public servant? Do you trust him to be above reproach in honesty? Is he subjecting himself to the potential for blackmail? Is he abusing his office for prurient purposes? Is he a hypocrite when he talks about the sanctity of marriage? Is he focusing sufficiently on the public's business or is he taking advantage of his office and status to play with girls young enough to be his granddwaughter?

Instead of worrying about who "Dump Sherwood" is, you ought to be taking a harder look at who Sherwood is.

I'm so tired of Republican hypocracy. Sherwood had a 100 percent rating by the American Family Association for his voting record on "Family Values" issues.

Boy, those are some "family values" he has...

I could care less who he sleeps with or if he cheats on his wife but I DO care when legislators jam morality issues down our throats while behaving like this.

If that's not hypocracy, what is?

As a constituent, I believe Congressman Sherwood has been a hard-working public servant who takes the right stances on most issues and represents his district with great activism and energy. I am disappointed that he has apparently made a horrible mistake in his personal life, but one that causes pain only to his family and supporters, not some low-life illiterate anonymous cretin who obviously has an axe to grind, but is too much of a coward to even own up to it personally.
Congressman Sherwood, and unfortunately now his family, are in the public sphere. The host of this blog should have the courage to do the same.
Oh, and I like the fact you try to block my IP address so I can't respond to your rant. Now that I have stated who I am, return the favor.

Exactly- Mr. Sherwood is in the public sphere and must account for his personal actions, and match them with his words and actions in the public sphere. He volunteered for that when he ran for office. Whoever the "Dump Sherwood" blogger is has no such responsibility to us to share his name. He is registering an opinion and spreading facts out there for other people to develop opinions on. It doesn't matter who the Blogger is. His supporters should quit dodging responsibility for Sherwood's actions and own up to it, without searching for some other target to deflect blame at.

It's like Tom DeLay complaining about the "liberal media" and "political partisans" attacking him, and refusing to acknowledge that what he did was wrong and against the Rules and deserving of the penalties the Rules demand. It doesn't matter who the accusers are: the question is, is it true, and is it wrong?

Again Mr. Sherwood and his party hypocrites only want to deflect the attention. That's pretty understandable when your behavior is so inexcuusable.

Sorry Democrats ..you will need much more than this little story to get one of your guys elected.

But try Casey again, we need more humor in life.

I can see some of Sherwood's political operatives have been active on this site.
I think this site is a good idea. Sherwood abused his office, his family, and us.

Sorry ,I'm not a political person... except that I vote.

Thus I will vote again and it will be for Sherwood he has done a great job, for this district.

If you are here, posting, you are behaving political. You are trying to defend Sherwood, a man who has lied to you, and made a fool of you.

We don't need a Democrat to take this seat from Sherwood, a less sleazy Republican would do fine.

Anybody but Sherwood at this point. Any promising candidates?

During the 1998 campaign Sherwood was accused of having an affair with a staff member. This was dismissed as not true at the time. Maybe there is a longer hostory of this.

At 6:03 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Sherwood was probably unfaithful before this.

At 1:11 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Let's face it, Sherwood is a dumb scum.

No, he's worse than that!

If you have something negative to say, be brave enough to state your name.

Maybe at least, your mother will vote for you if you run for something.

I wonder if it's possible for the good people of Pennsylvania to think past their emotions when it comes to this Sherwood issue?

Although I can understand the natural feelings of disbelief and grief that come from being betrayed by those who were considered to be trustworthy, I wonder how many have considered the facts?

As I see those facts:

- A Republican was implicated in a violent incident with sexual innuendoes during a campaign year and not one Democrat favored their presidential candidate enough to expose what many Christians would consider hypocritical. Such an exposure by the Democrats - at that pivitol point in time - may have made a significant difference in the Christian vote, and therefore, the outcome of the election.

- The 10th Congressional District has a News Alliance (also called "Times-Shamrock"). The Editor of the "Alliance", seemingly shamed by the 11th District's Times-Leader and WILK-AM into acknowledging the Sherwood story, apparently made a decision to give his own biased opinion of this incident rather than simply reporting the facts so that the people in the 10th Congressional District could form their own opinions for the 2006 election.

- Congressman Sherwood, Christopher Doherty (Mayor of Scranton), David Wenzel (Former Mayor of Scranton), Mary Ferrario Rinaldi (Clerk of Judicial Records), and more, are on the Board of Directors of the United Nations Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

- Plank #6 of the Communist Manifesto is Government control of Communications & Transportation. Plank #10 is Government control of education.

Based on these very few facts, Do you really believe that Don Sherwood, or anyone in the two-party system who advocates for the United Nations and controlled media is interested in what you think? Or concerned about your Liberty?

In 2006 consider your options. Statesmen and Stateswomen may not be as glamorous as those preened by the major parties, but, in my opinion, they are the only hope for the restoration and maintenance of our Constitutional Republic. I don't know about Shotko, but Hannevig still has her site up: http://nikihannevigforcongress.blogspot.com. I'm sure you can find the Constitution Party, Libertarian Party and the Green Party via a search.

Best wishes.

I am not afraid of the united Nations. Sherwood probably only joined the local UNA group to gather a few votes. He is not intelligence or curious enough to even understand the UN.
The constitutional party lady sems too far out.
